Anyone written any good poems?

I love reading and writing poems and now you can too with just a click of a mouse...
and i have no idea why I just wrote that... hmmm
well anyway er yeh...

lol!

Of course, i have....well, i think they are good, but really thats for you to decide, lol

Here another of my poems:

Only Me
Come, sit by me and I will tell,
I am your heaven, but also your hell.
I am your rock, that holds you strong,
I will argue with you about right and wrong.
I will give you kisses that make you want more,
I will know, but ignore your every flaw.
My thoughts will be on you day and night,
Your heartbeat will quicken when I hug you tight.
I will tremble from your very touch,
And smile when you hold me, tickle me and such,
I will make you laugh in exasperation,
At my blondness and facial expressions.
All this and more is what I have to give,
Don't take me for granted.
Don't lie to my face.
Don't come and give me just a taste,
Of your kisses, your smiles and who you are,
I am here; I'm not that far.
Come, sit by me and I will be,
Your love, no one else, only me.

I wrote this for my freind heather who was hurting badly.



Life for you is hard now my friend
But please know I’m always here for you
No matter the distance between us
Know that I care

I feel your pain and hurt inside my being
I don’t like that this is how your feeling
I want to be there so badly for you
Stroking your hair telling you it will be alright
Because it will my friend it will.

Please don’t cry, please don’t cry
And I won’t be able to stop you
No matter how hard I try
Your hurting from deep within your soul
From deep within from deep within.

I cant take that pain away but know that I feel it too
Missing that part of yourself that makes you complete
Missing the smile, the voice, the touch.
You met someone amazing and I have too
Know my friend that I love and miss you.

Stay positive my friend I know its hard to do
But it will all look better if you just try to.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder
And have you ever taken the time to just sit and ponder
At least you found the other half of yourself
So circumstances aren’t ideal but at least you found her
At least you found her.

The rainbow will come out I see it
And I see you and her having a picnic beneath it
Smiling laughing having fun
I see you so happy so happy so happy.

So take a deep breath and soldier on through it
Your strong heather you can be so strong.
Never give up, never say well I tried

Its out there for you I know it I know it

I wrote this when i first went to california and felt invisible


Maybe one day

I'm tired of pretending
pretending I don't care
I'm tired of being behind the scenes
and no one knowing i'm there
I'm tired of being invisible
Someone to look right through
I'm tired of my fake smile
the one i show to you.
I'm sick of being looked over
just a face sitting in the crowd
I'm sick of feeling worthless
I just want to make you proud
I'm sick of trying to please them
I wish that they could see
How hard i've tried to find myself
To say thats it, I'm me

I wonder if I will always feel
The way I feel right now
Why bother to hope, why bother to try
It ends in failure anyhow.
Maybe one day I will see it differently
Maybe one day soon
Maybe one day I will dream again

I dont write poetry, i have no talent for it and im not particularly enthralled by most stuff i read. But i have a friend whose poetry i adore, she is a good firend of mine and a fellow wiccan and here are a few of her poems.






Afterlife


I have a wooden box
Only seven inches wide.
If I could fit myself in there
Then that's where I would hide.
I've wanted for a long time now
To infuse this Magick spark
Within my lonely, secluded world
and dance against the dark.

I have a wooden box
Only seven inches long.
If I could fit the stars in there
Then that's where they'd belong.
I've wanted for a long time now
to let reality die
Within my sweet, fantastical world
and dance against the sky.

I have a wooden box
Only seven inches deep.
When my body's long decayed
that's where my soul will sleep.
I've wanted for a long time now
to forget all done and said
Within my peaceful, morbid world
and dance among the dead.

Welcome Home


Welcome home, baby
I missed you so badly.
Give me a kiss, love
And don’t look so sadly.

(Show me every new scar and tell me the story for each one.)

I kept myself busy
While you were away,
Darning your clothes
So the seams wouldn’t fray.

(No, not really bored. I wish I could have been there, though. Next time?)

I fixed up the boiler
So we have hot water.
I fed all your dogs
And I buried our daughter.

(Don’t look so shocked, my love. The boiler wasn’t really that bad.)

I slept with your soldiers
And cried yesterday.
I kept myself busy

Sarah- thank you so much. To be honest, it not really about love...its more of what i am, what i can give....some people can completely disregard the fact that i with give everything in a relationship, and mainly not many peope know that, so i was trying to make them aware. =]

Tomi- Actually no it wasnt and only about 3 of my poems are about you gorgeous =] xxx

Tess- simply wow. The emotion in your peomes are fantastic....i absolutely LOVE your writting style...very striaght to the point and descriptive. Its raw emotion, and i love the way you're comforting your frien d in the first....word have such power, and you showed us that!

Aurora- your friends writng style is gorgeous as well. I love the way she uses the same start and endings for each verse but brings a new sense of meaning and depth to them in each one. Beautiful. Ilove her irony and sadness in the second one...realy rbings out what she is feelings and reacting.

Vamp - love it!! Completely love it, made me laugh!

the first poem only hether has ever read it and the second no one has ever seen. so its awesome to get such positive responses.
I only tend to write poems when i'm about to burst with emotion and need to get it out. I'm not great at confiding in people about what is happening in my life so i've always found solace in words, my journal is one big book of emotion although if anyone er read it they will think i led a depressing life lol cause all thats in there seems to be pain and hurt, purely the reason i don't need comforting when i'm happy lol.

sabouki- i really enjoyed your poem, i love the rhyming pattern just when youhave it you think you switch it up keeps you on your toes and makes you pay attention to the words.

auroura- the box poem ia dore!!!! its so simple so effective, your freind is very talented.

vamp- i liek it! very to the point, can totally appreciate the sentiment behind it.

I can totally understand what your saying Tess. All my poems are writting when im feeling a very strong emotion....its really the only way i can get anything near half decent, lol!
