I run a Sword Fencing Club in the village of Yatton near Weston Super Mare, on a Wednesday night from 7pm to 9pm.

Would any one from Merry Moot like to have a go?

All fencing kit supplied, except for a five-fingered (or more if your that guy from the Princess Bride movie) glove.

All absolutely free of charge.

Apologies for those for whom it's not local. (was that good English - possibly not)

Just thought I'd ask as you guys have been really welcoming to a novice like me.

That sound great! It's something I'd be really interested in but unfortunatly I'm working in the college restaurant till 9.30pm on Wednesdays.
Thanks for the info though Smile

Could do a two hour one-off Sunday special, though this might cost about £3/person.

Any good?

We have members who can give lifts that live in Weston. A Sunday session would be good coz my trainee coaches can practice too.

I could investigate the possibility of coming to a wednesday one. I'd love to learn fencing, but I have to work out if i can get to Weston then. I could quite easily get a train to and from... Let you know...

Yatton has a main line station. Pick up from there is no problem.

So Wednesday 7-9pm or on a Sunday TBA from 2-4pm.

Please let me know how many are up for it.

Hall Charge for Sunday is about £10 I think, (well cheap!) So if that gets covered by attendees, then brilliant.

I might be able to make a Sunday session but I'd need to know when it was with three weeks advance so I could book it off work.
Sorry to be so awkward but my life is uber hectic at the mo! Mad

How odd... your original time is only half an hour off from being the same times as my martial arts lessons..

Ok, Let's Pencil in Sunday 3 or 4 weeks from this coming one (27th Jan). So that makes it the 17th or the 24th of February.

Start time suggested is 3pm, for a 2 hour session. I'll need to cover the Hall hire (£10), but the rest is free. I'd like numbers to be at least 6 if possible coz it gets a bit lonely otherwise!

Hope to see you soon.

Bill I just checked which date I can do to help out and it seems like the 17th is the best out of the two, as I said yesterday I'll be at my aunt's on the 24th.
I hope this is ok.

Can we have a show of hands as to who can make which date 17th or 24th Feb?

So far I have one weeaally good friend with a problem with the 24th and another weeaally good friend and evil empire hater that can't do the 17th.

Need at least six per session and if needed could possibly do both.

Answers on here ASAP please.

Pop quiz: You enter a darkened room. In the room is a freshly laid fire ready to be lit, a candle, an an oil lamp.

You have one match.

Which do you light first?

Mulled wine is alright for a like half a glass but then I get overwhelmed by its strong herby like taste! How about whiskey? Just as warming and even more nutritious.... yes shh. Hehe.
