Pink Floyd!

OMG! My husband and I went to a tribute band for Pink Floyd friday night! IT WAS FRICKEN AWESOME! This band sounded JUST like the real thing. We are both Huge fans of Pink Floyd music! This band featured the Album, "Dark Side Of The Moon" Though they didn't just stay with that Album. They even had the same videography that Floyd had in their concerts! The light show was phenomenal as well! I took a ton of photographs as well as some audios! The end of the show had a 15 foot pink flying pig that floated through the building! What an awesome experience and wonderful memories to get me through the slow times in my life!
I hope everyone has the opportunity have moments like this in their lives. It's not about the destination ya know.....it's all about the ride! What a ride!

PINK FLOYD ARE THE BEST!!

"Wish You Were Here" album is the best! What was the name of the tribute band, do you remember? There are supposed to be a few Pink Floyd tributes that are notoriously worth-seeing...

I've been listening to a lot of PF just lately. Though I'd have to say some of the more bizare stuff, is well... A little too bizare for listening to while driving.

I have also been told that some of the tribute bands are worth seeing. It's something I think I will have to see, particulary if it is as good as your experience. It has to be said there is something almost(?) magical about live music, of almost any kind.

Come to think of it, They didn't advertise a name. The venue we saw was called "The Pink Floyd Experience"
So look for that. Look on youtube...they have several hits there showing "the experience"
YES there was something magical about being there! It was SO fantastic!
This show was called "The Dark Side Of The Moon" and was awesome but they didn't just stick with Dark Side only. The first song was Dark Side, second was our personal favorite The Wall YEAAAAAAAA!!! But they also did Wish You Were Here to which I took many pictures as well as audios on my cell phone and then text both a great pic of the band playing as well as the audio and entitled it "WISH YOU WERE HERE WITH US"
I got many comments back similiar to "BITCH!" to which I replied "THANK YOU! BUY THE DAMN TICKETS NEXT TIME!" *shrugs*
I'm going to create a web-site to commemorate the experience. When I get it done I will let everyone know what the addy is. I'm going to youtube and download the music from the actual band there and put it on the site as well as what I've got from my phone, though what is on my phone is only bits.

Nice! I found a few of the videos on Youtube, but I wasn't sure which would be the best example. Where did you go to see it? "The Pink Floyd Experience" are one of those reputable ones (just goes to show even tribute bands can make it big). Look out for "Think Floyd", they're another good one.
Have you heard the Easy Star Allstars remix album of "Dark Side Of The Moon" (called "Dub Side Of The Moon")? If you haven't, find it and download it!! It was made as just a covers bootleg, but became so talked about and popular the surviving Pink Floyd members heard it and loved it! It's quite an ecclectic album so it appeals not just to reggae-dub fans...

Division Bell is my fav album in my opinion.

I remember buying The Wall - it was one of the first albums I ever bought with my hard saved newspaper delivery round money when I was a kiddie. Brilliant.

the wall is my soundtrack to life but i also like shine on you crazy diamonds on the album echoes i have all thaier albums but only listen to a couple just a side note does anyone think geldoff played a good part in the wall movie???

Blimey, I saw the movie so many years ago I completely forgot he was in it! Bloody hell, it must be at least 22 years ago.

i hope no one minds me saying how sad that Rick has died hes up there know with Sid Barrat shining down on us like two crazy diamonds ,
i saw them live in 94 it was on of the most amazing nights off my life,
rest in peace Rick you will be missed,
