Subject: When Dead Do Walk Wed Dec 24, 2008 2:21 pm
This is something I read in one of my favourite books of all time: Sabriel (from the Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix). It just stuck in my head and seems to have a base of reality.
When Dead do walk, seek water's run, For this the Dead will always shun. Swift river's best or broadest lake, To ward the Dead and haven make. If water fails thee, fire's thy friend; If neither guards 'tis thine end.
