Fay.
Deep at night, you come away,
Far from the light and lives of day,
A different time, and different place,
Transgression made without a trace.
The walls are high and made of glass,
Figures of gold and polished brass,
A river of blood, claret deep;
A window to see these mortals sleep.
The wide set dome, a gateway to heaven,
Do what you will, one sin, or all seven,
To earn your place in the gathering around,
They will have you, gagged and bound.
Its useless to fight and impossible to flee,
Everything’s a game, but a part of their glee.
Creatures of beauty, power and splendour,
Combined with a stare that will clearly render
Its victim impossible to deny or even protest,
Against its evil; you are no longer a guest.
With smiles they welcome you into the thrall,
Faces without feeling, an emotional wall.
Ahead, you see a throne of gleaming stone,
Beside it a sceptre made from human bone.
Seated is a man of fearsome grace,
It soon becomes clear he is not of human race.
Porcelain skin and pitch black eyes,
Look in them too deep and you’ll meet your demise.
His voice is like the sound of summer rain,
With lips the colour of red wine stain.
Be careful here dreamer, you know not what you see,
Everything is a lie, only what it should be.
Deceit always comes wrapped in a pretty bow.
This came about from a VERY strange dream of mine last night...and i felt the sudden urge to write about it. tell me what you think =]
