Anyone good at interpreting dreams? Warning dream? Empty
PostSubject: Anyone good at interpreting dreams? Warning dream?   Anyone good at interpreting dreams? Warning dream? Icon_minitimeThu Nov 20, 2008 11:13 pm

Because I have this problem of not dreaming or not remembering my dreams, last night before I went to bed, I felt this need to 'ask' to dream and be able to remember my dream/s - this asking, was kinda out of the blue and I don't know why I did it. I then had the following dream which makes me worried, cause my instincts tell me its a warning, but I'm not sure what of and the references I can find refer to single items in dreams not to the dream as a whole. If any of you can help interpret it or maybe even get any other psychic hints about what I might be being warned about, please let me know.

I remember two parts of the dream/s. I'm not sure if it was two seperate dreams or the same dream. In the first part, I was in the middle of the ocean on what seemed to be an armchair (go figure!!!) and had someone with me called Pi or Pie (again? wtf), as I don't swim too well, I was hanging onto the armchair and this other person (I think it was a male) dragged the armchair away and I was screaming Pi, Pi, don't do that help me. Although I didn't see any sharks in the dream, I know that in the dream they were there and I was terrified of them, then I woke up.

In the second part or second dream, I, my hubby and some other people (I knew they were there, but they were irrelevant somehow) were trapped in a capsized ship (kinda like in the Posiden adventure). We got to a certain point when we were all about to drown and there was a way out but we might not all make it. They (the people and hubby) were making me go through this way out and I turned to hubby and said lets go and he said he had to stay till everyone was out. I didn't want to go without him, but everyone was forcing me out, then I woke up again.

ok i hope this makes sense the first part sounds like you are being thrown in at the depend with something you know being made to do it

the second sounds like your being helped out of a really sh** situation

so if you put them together if you have something big about to or soon gonna happen to me personally it sounds like your gonna be forced to take action with that said issue but will have help to get you through it safely

but that is my personal interpretation you will prob here some different ones but i thought i would start it off

and i dont think its a warning as such more some guidance

Hmmmm, interesting, but now to throw a spanner in the works..... I posted this on another forum I am on, and then my dream just got a bit more complicated. I had thought that the dream was about/warning me, cause I seemed to be the main character, however, a friend of mine pm'd me to point out something that may, or may not be relevant. The character Pi or Pie is the first letters in his name (coincidence or not?), also, he is at present in the middle of the ocean (on a boat or rig I assume) and will be going by helicopter to land. He then suggested that I that I dowse a bit (I'm a dowser), which I did and got the following which I pm'd to him:

I dowsed to ask if it was a warning and got a yes. I asked if it was a warning for me - no. I asked if it was a warning for you - yes. I asked if you were in serious danger - no. I then asked if the warning had something to do with the fact that you were in the middle of the ocean and will be traveling by helicopter to land - and I didn't get an answer, my pendulum just kept swinging in the ready movement.

Does that maybe change your interpretation of it?

with the new revelation that you have a friend with the same start to their name and is currently at see then yes it does alter the interpretation as for the last question i am unsure why you would not get a straight answer from it unless you where to just convey what you know and leave it to him to decipher

In hindsight and with some other help, I think that I didn't get the answer because the dream had messages for both of us sperately in it. It wasn't just about me and it wasn't just about him, it was about us both, but not connected. I asked a question only about him, so the pendulum couldn't answer it, because the dream involved us both.

PostSubject: Re: Anyone good at interpreting dreams? Warning dream?   Anyone good at interpreting dreams? Warning dream? Icon_minitimeFri Nov 21, 2008 6:51 am

Hmmm, very out of practice on this but I'll have a go.

Let's break it down:

1. Middle of an ocean - the ocean in dreams often refer to emotions or spirituality. What state the ocean is can indicate what type of emotions they represent. That side is pretty easy to interpret, e.g. stormy, calm, choppy, etc. Being in the centre of it implies being the centre or central nexus of these emotions or spiritual goings on.

2. The armchair - this can be different things and depends on the overall circumstances of the dream. For example this can mean you are comfortable (in the sea of emotions or spirituality) or it could mean you are too lazy to get up and do something (only you can tell from the dream). If a person is on the chair with you it can mean something sexual.

3. A person called Pi - a person in a dream can mean so many different things from representing an emotion, person, situation, desire, a reflection of yourself, something you fear, etc, etc. so that is tricky. I'll skip that for now. The fact that the person is called Pi is interesting though. Pi could be interpreted as a circle or infinity. In either case this can mean a few different things. For example the person named Pi could represent safety (a circle of protection) or it could mean be over protective (being closed inside a circle). Circles can also be seen as the cyles of life, nature, etc.

If the person is a physical representation of the circle then can you remember if there was anything wrong with the person? A brioken circle can mean that a protective cirle has been broken (leading to risk or danger from what is outside) or it can mean a chance to be released from the repression of the circle (leading to a way out into the outside, in this case the ocean). Being male in the dream implies to me that this is the masculine aspect of yourself, perhaps associated with male type stereotypes such as action, physical strength, arrogance, or similar (if you know Tarot cards, use the same male attributes in the packs to understand this). Did the person wear any specific colour? Any details will help.

4. Being forced to leave the armchair - based on the above, it can now be assumed that you are comfortable in your enclosure of life or your comfort zone. You can see the ocean of emotions and spirituality around you and have been happy being a spectator in the centre of this without actually 'connecting' with it. A part of you or someone you know thinks you should get up and experience it. You are scared because you are either comfy where you are and fear what is outside or you are comfy where you are and don't care what's outside.

5. The sharks sound like your fears.

I have to get back to work now so I can't respond to the second dream yet. At a glance though it looks like the same message.

I hope this helps. Smile

Ok. I don't have a lot of experience with dream interpretation. In fact only a little. lol. I'll have a go though.
I haven't read any of the replies, and and won't until I've posted this, so my answer isn't influenced by anyone elses interpretation.

Firstly, if it's anything like scrying, different symbols probably mean different things to different people. Prophetic or psychic dreams are a truth that has been filtered through your subconscious, so if you love spiders and I'm arachnophobic, the image of a spider would mean something different to each of us (ie - beauty vs. fear). Stuff in dreams can take place in the past present or future - whatevers on your mind. Also, not everything means something. The bits you remember will likely be the important bits especially if you asked for the dream.

Part 1: Okay, so, like I said it might mean something completely different to wha I think because it didn't come from mymind, but I would've thought the ocean with it's sharks, and worry about not swimming well would represent a situation you are afraid you cannot handle. Something difficult, maybe a struggle. The armchair is something that keeps you safe. Stops you from having to face whatever this situation is. I'm assuming you don'tknow anyone called Pi. How did you feel about him before he started to pull the chair away? Did you know him? Was he your friend? Did you feel he was equal to you, or an authority figure? Pi might not represent a person, necessarily, but whatever he is I think it's significant that he tried to pull away the armchair rather than trying to push you in. It's a very different action, much less malicious or deliberate. Or perhaps simpley less direct. His pulling away the chair is, I think, Someone or something (deliberately or not) forcing you to confront a situation that you do not wish to. A situation you do not feel you could cope with.

Part 2: I think this is, again, the same message of being forced to confront something alone. You are told to leave behind your means of support ( your husband) and go to (again) face the sea alone. The twist is that (as in part 1 you weren't being directly pushed into the ocean) here you were forced to go for your own good, to save you. So when whoever or whatever forces you into the 'ocean' it is probably not with the intention of 'drowning' you. If you see what I mean. I'm not sure I'm expaining it very well!
Obviously the ocean is very important in both parts of the dream. Oceans can mean almost anything you like from what I've seen/heard/read about dream interpretation. The imprtant thing is what role the ocean played. In each part you were on some failing craft in the middle of the ocean, and the dreams as a whole imply that the ocean is inescapable, much much bigger than you, dangerous and quite scary really. I think thje important thing to remember is that even if it is a prophetic dream, a warning of something bad to come, the dreams seem to be about your fears (of drowning, of sharks, of leaving your husband behind etc.) not those things actually happening. So whether you think you can deal with whatever may or may not happen or whether you don't, maybe you actually CAN.

Also, I probably suck at this.

Thank you everyone for your interpretations, they all helped. I'm thinking that this dream may have a lot to do with my 'spiritual' journey. I have been told by some very experienced and intuitive people that there are some things I am 'meant' to do, but I am in most cases a 'back seat' kinda gal not the one in the forefront ruling the show. For a while now I have been guided in that direction, but was not sure that I was up to it, although I have been working with some stuff already. I think maybe this is telling me to get off my butt and get on with it already. That maybe its a bit scary but that I can do it.
